A.C. had been thinking of going back to Atlantis since the week after he resurfaced. He had turned 18 two weeks ago and one of the elders had told him that he was to return at that point. He wanted to go... but he didn't. He didn't want to have to spend too much time down there in the fear that too much would happen when he was gone.
Finally, after sitting for two straight days in his room thinking about it without sleep, he decided to go. He first slept the night off until it was morning. He put on a tight orange surfers shirt and some green board shorts with white adidas forums (sorry I fucking love Adidas Forums). Then he went out to the airport. ____________ 9 hours later... l Arthur landed in New York full of energy after sleeping the whole plane ride. He got off onto the tarmac and streched his arms in the cold New York air. It was only 30*F but he didn't care... the cold never really bothered him. After hailing a cab he went off to Times Square. There he got a luxary suite on the top floor of the Hilton, looking over the whole square.
He decided to go the to the shore at night to avoid onlookers and boats so he just went out to buy some water at a local store and took swam in the pool. Then it was finally dark and he left the hotel. He walked down to the water front and looked around. All there was arounf was a hobo asleep on a bench and some guys selling watches. He then climbed onto the ledge and took one last look before jumping in...

Arthur swam his fastest the whole way and within a minute he was there. He looked down to the cavern in an underwater volcano. It was about a mile down so nobody else had ever found it, but there, past that cavern and through a cave was the temple. He made his way quickley down and through the cave.
Then he saw the two giants... only they were rotted and covered in barnicals. He looked into their eyes and tried to make them rise, but nothing happened. Arthur should have been able to control them and wake them up, yet nothing happend. He moved on into the temple through the massive door, which was taller than the giants. When he walked in he saw that there were no guards or soldiers. he looked around and saw nothing... nobody... not even a candle was on. Still, he pressed on this time at a jog. As he reached the door to the city he heard a voice scream out.
"STOP KING! WAIT!"
Arthur turned to see an old preist with a gash across his chest on the floor. It was one of the preists that taught him how to use is mind to speak with sea creatures. The old man looked pale and half-dead.
"What happened to you... why this place deserted?" Arthur said picking the man up.
"Your cousin Diotron has taken over the throne. When you did not return on the 18th aniversary of your birth the kingdom was thrown into turmoil. You were the rightful king yet, you did not return to your people. Your cousin took over the throne and was released from prison. He has been murdering everbo..."
"I did not know I had a cousin. Why wasn't I told when I was here before?"
"He was supposed to be executed for treason to the kingdom. You were not to know of him and his evils."
"What treason did he commit?"
"He tried to go into the outside world and reveal Atlantis to the highest bidder. He wanted to destroy Atlantis. Diotron was a mass murderer before that... killing hundereds of people. That is why he hated us, because we sent him to a life in solitude. Putting him in a box just big enough for him to stand, with nothing but two tubes connecting to his chest, one for food, the other for oxygen.
"He somehow escaped and almost got out of the city, until the Guardians of the Sea got him ((the sea monsters outside the temple)). He was sent back to the box only this time, it was buried. He was there for a year before you returned... and was there when you left. He would still be there now but, when you failed to return to claim the throne, he received the same powers as you. For the past week he has gotten his army together and started killing people. Thousands are already dead. And he's planning to ascend to the rest of the world!"
Arthur stood up, "Then I will stop this madness, and restore peace to Atlantis."
"No! You can't go, he will kill you! He has an army of close to a million by now. You can't win!"
"I will beat him... I must beat him." Arthurs eyes had turned rigid, "He will not kill another being."
Arthur turned slowely. Then he said thank you and goodbye to the old man and Sprinted through the door...

As Arthur exited the Temple he looked up to the the King's Castle. It had an enormous red flag with the letter D on it. As he looked around he saw dead bodies and burned houses everywhere. He was starting to get even more enraged at this... how could somebody order the killings of all these people.
He picked up the pace ad started running even faster. Groups of people were coming into view. He could see five guards beating an old man while a group of peasants watched. Suddenly he lost it... he screamed and launched towards the guards. His right foot connected with the closest guards chin. He then landed and spun around with three more kicks to three more chins. The last guard swung a sword at the back of Arthurs neck. Arthur shot to the right and put five fast paced punches to the guards eyes and nose. All five were now down, unconcious.
"Are you okay?" Arthur askedas he turned to the old man and the rest of the group. As they saw his face they were all surprised. Their faces lit up.
"It's the king! "Are you here to save us" "Thank You" They all bowed and gleamed at him.
"Yes, I am back, and I have returned to reclaim the throne. Prosperity will return to Atlantis. I gurantee it. I'm am sorry though, If you are alright, I must be going."
"We're all fine. Go, your throne awaits you." "Beat him for us!"
Arthur looked to the old man..."Go sonny, I'm fine, it's time for the real king of Atlantis to return."

AC arrived at the castle minutes later. He peered behind a piece of a recked house. He saw two guards outside of the castle gate. He picked up a rock from the ground and threw it at a tree twenty feet away from him. The guards looked quickly and AC dashed at them. He put a full force kick to one of their faces, landed and put the knife from his leg strap into the other one's stomach. They both doubled over and AC looked around. There were no other guards standing by or waiting.
He walked through the enormous gate into the castle walls. When he turned the corner he saw a pit of Grapas, tiger like animals that can breathe under water and breathe air. The Grapas whipped around at him but were denied by their cage bars. He had always hated the Grapas the last time he was in Atlantis, although he knew they were only loyal to the king... making him their rightful owner.
He walked on until he saw a watch tower. There were two more when he looked around, and two guards in each tower. He decided he could avoid two of them by hiding but if he expected to make it to the castle doors undetected he had to take out one tower.
He snuck to the bottom of the tower and pulled his knife out again. He climbed the latter slowly, making sure he was quiet. As he got to the opening he looked to see them both faced away. He shot up and slashed the first guards spine in half, then, while still spinning, stabbed the other guard in the throat. He looked down and saw the door to the castle. He was literally at the Devil's Doorstep.......
