Roxy walked into the Talon, a bored expression on her face. A small yawn escaped her lips as she sat down at the counter. When the woman came over and asked her what she wanted, she shrugged and said. "Coffee.. black." As she waited for her coffee, she pulled out her ciggarret case and put a smoke in her mouth. She put the case back and flipped out her lightler, then lit the end of the cig and took a drag. She really needed something exciting to do...

"No, you subtract the x from this side and add to this side. Then after you solve that, you have to graph."
Vern had been giving a refresher course to a high school junior he had befriended. The kid wasn't really good with algebra, but luckily, Vern was, and so he was helping him. As the boy wrote down what Vern told him, he made a remark about the brown-and-purple haired girl at the counter, saying how she was one of those "bad girls."
He shouldn't have said that, seeing as Vern had a thing for those "bad girls." Seeing as how the boy was okay for now, Vern stood up and walked over to the counter. A seat was taken next to Roxy, while his hands rested on the counter.
"I don't think smoking's allowed in here." He turned to face her. "But I won't tell, simply because you look good with it."

Roxy heard a familiar voice and smirked. With out turning to face him, she spoke after another drag on her cig. "I didn't think you would tell. You may be one of the good-guys, but I never pictured you as a tattle-tale." She took in another breath, let smoke rings spill from her lips and turned to Vern. "So, what are you doing here at the moment?" she asked.
At that very moment, her coffee came and she nodded a quick thank you before putting down her smoke on a tray and picking up the cup. she took a small sip before pulling away quickly. "Damn it! Burnt my tounge.." she muttered.

He had only spoken to Roxy in passing at the Watchtower, but he'd always admired her. Now Vern intended on getting to know her.
"So, what are you doing here at the moment?"
"I was helping a younger friend of mine with his algebra homework. I saw you, so I decided to come by and see how you were doing." When she burnt her tongue, Vern brought a hand up to her lips, his index finger touching them. In a small purple glow, her tongue healed itself. But he didn't bring his hand back down, leaving his finger against her lips.

She smiled lightly. "I didn't know you were that sweet." she said. When he raised his finger to her lips, she quirked a brow and was about to ask what he was doing when a soft purple glow appeared and her tounge stopped hurting. But when he didn't remove his finger, she smirked and gave it a small kiss.
"Is that what you were waiting for?" she laughed. "And thanks. That's quite useful." Roxy added.

"Is that what you were waiting for?"
"Actually, I was hoping you'd take it all into your mouth and sensuously lick around it." He brought his hand back down to rest on the counter top, a grin on his lips. "So what're you doing? I'm bored, I'm done with the pseudo-tutoring. Let's do something fun, something crazy."

Roxy had to let out a laugh after what he said. "Aren't you a flirt..." she said before picking up her ciggarret and taking another drag. When he asked her what she was doing and said he wanted to do something crazy, he caught her attention. She smiled and put out her ciggarret on tray. "I'm listening." she said and picked up her coffee, which was now at the right temperature.

"I'm listening."
"I don't know." He watched as she put the cigarette down. "I was hoping you'd have some ideas. Up until a few months ago, I was just an ugly goody-goody nerd. You've been the bad girl for as long as you've loved." Vern decided to press the matter. "Unless your entire reputation is wrong and you're just some goody-goody like Fairchild."

Roxy kept a cool smirk on her lips. "You? Ugly?" she gave a small laugh. "That's hard to picture." she said. "Please... me? A goody-goody? The parting cig and alcohol addict?" she shook her head. "Naw.. that ain't me." she said.
She leaned back on the counter so her back was flat on it, but her legs were on the floor. She remained there for a minute, then came back up. "That's the only way I've ever been able to crack my back." she muttered. "Well, an Idea has yet to pop into my head, so why don't we just go on a walk and figure it out from there?" she suggested.

He nodded. Vern stood up, brushing off his unzipped red hoodie and his black t-shirt as he did so. These were worn along with a pair of blue jean cargo pants and black and white Nike sneakers. He stepped towards the exit, pushing out through the door and onto Main Street of Smallville, Kansas.
"So, anything yet?" He began to walk in the evening atmosphere.

Roxy stood up and she too brushed the strayed ashed off of her thin-strapped red dress. She smiled lightly. As she stepped out into the night air, a chill rushed through her body and she gave a small shivver. It was getting cold, but she tried not to let it show.
She pulled her arms across her chest and shrugged. "No.. I think I'm having an off night." she said with a small laugh. She looked up at the stars and smiled lightly. The night sky had always been her weekness.

She had been dolled up for a seemingly normal hangout on the town. Actually, Vern raised an eyebrow as he came to the realization. Was she setting something up?
He shook it off, deciding to just go with the flow. "Well, if you're having an off night, I can just go find some other party girl to do naughty things with. Maybe I'll get lucky and she'll do naughty things to me, too." He grinned as he walked, wondering if she caught his hint.

Roxy smirked as she realized what he was doing. She stopped walking and turned to him. "Do you think that just because I look like this, that I'm setting something up for you?" she asked him, but without waiting for a reply, she spoke. "I had no clue you were going to be there, honestly. but when I go out at night.. this is what I look like. So if you were waiting for something like this...." she snapped her fingers and he was pushed against the by gravity, then she walked over to him and kissed him hard, then pulled away and let him drop. "To happen, you are out of luck." she finished before she started to walk again.

It was a blur. In the matter of two seconds, he had been picked up by gravity, then her lips were pushed hard against his own, and then he was sitting on his ass on the ground. Scratching his head, Vern stood up. "Wait a minute." He caught up with her. "Wait a minute. Nu-uh, we're not playing that."
"But you and I are gonna' have a race. No powers but flight, no stopping me with gravity or any of that, just flight. From here to Metropolis." He crouched down on the ground. "Go." And then he flew into the air so quickly that she probably wouldn't have even caught a glimpse of him. He moved at Mach-10, roughly 7,000 miles per hour, which as fast as he could go as a physical body without messing up the atmosphere.

Roxy laughed when he caught up to her. "I'm sorry, playing like what?" she asked with a smirk, pretending that nothing had happened. When she saaw him crouching on the ground, she shook her head. "What?! No way! I'm waering a-" then he was gone. "Dress..." she finished with a sigh. She closed her eyes and her hands began to glow a soft blue and she was off into the sky, but there was no way she's be able to catch up to him.
Finally, she reached Mertopolis and she landed. "Great, he didn't even say where I was supposed to meet him.." she muttered.
