After hearing many rumors of supernatural abilities surfacing near the meteor shower explosions in Smallville, Kimiyo went to the coffee house to check it out. She had articles after articles of mysterious events that had gone unsolved or unpublicized. There were people crowding the coffee house to satisfy their need for caffeine. Kimiyo was one of them but she had an important task to complete. To locate those of abilities that may pose a threat on the sleeping world.

Clark swung open the doors to The Talon. It was his favorite place to hang out, after all. After a few minutes, he made it through the long line, and made his way through the crowd. He put his steaming cup of coffee down on the nearest table, and noticed that another girl, around his age, sitting before him. "Hi," he said, his thick lips curving into a smile.

Kimiyo turned around as she had heard the greeting of a male. "Not interested," snapped Kimiyo as she turned back to her articles. She didn't have her coffee yet and she didn't need some teenager talking to her like he could get her pants off in an instant. However, he was cute.

"Okay," Clark said, a hint of confusion showing on his face. All he said was "hi...." He didn't ask for a date. After taking another look at the girl, he decided that she wasn't bad looking. He gulped down about half of his coffee...Yes, it was steaming hot, but it was difficult to burn him. "Can I sit here?" He asked, noticing that almost every other seat was full.

She looked around and there practically wasn't anywhere else to sit other than the seat next to her. She had dropped her purse on it. "Taken," said Kimiyo. "Unless you feel like helping me." Kimiyo took her cup and started to drink it. It was cold so she put it on the table and quickly heated it up using concentrated rays of light. She took another sip but this time, the coffee was warm.

Clark raised an eyebrow. "Sure," he said, sitting down. He tried to help people as much as he could, and this was a perfect opportunity. He sat down across from the girl, and took another sip of his coffee. "So, what do you need help with?" He asked, trying to get a better look at the articles that the girl was reading.

Kimiyo sighed. She didn't expect the guy to actually want to help her. She thought that the guy would just go away and they would never see eachother again. "We'll start off with names," said Kimiyo. "I'm Kimiyo. And you are?" With a hand supporting her resting head, she raised her arm to check the time shown by her watch. The store clocks were usually wrong.

Clark extended his arm out, waiting for Kimiyo to shake his hand. "Clark." He said, in a friendly voice. "Anyway, Kimiyo...I've never heard that name, but I like it."

"At least one of us likes the other person's name," said Kimiyo. She refused to take the hand and just threw a couple of articles in his way. One of them was headed, 'Farmboy Miracles.' "Look for anyone that seems like they are 'special.'"

Clark slowly pulled his hand back as Kimiyo refused to shake it. He picked up a few of the articles, and started to read them. He slowly looked up, another confused look appearing on his face. "What do you mean by 'special?'" Did she mean people that were mentally challenged, people who looked strange...People like him?

"Special as in a little stronger than they are supposed to be. A little smarter than possible. A little faster than we can be," said Kimiyo. "Ever read a comic book? Those are the types of people I'm looking for. They're dangerous and have to be stopped no matter what or we die."

Clark's heart seemed to skip a beat. How did Kimiyo know about people like him, and why did she think that they were all killers? "Alright..." He slipped through the articles, and his eyes widened. He recognized a few of the people in the articles...He and Bart were in one, as well as A.C., Oliver, Victor, and more. He did the only thing he could...He lied. He looked up, and said, "They all look normal to me."

"They all look like it," said Kimiyo. She didn't like having to deal with amateurs. "But you should be aware that looks can be deceiving. There are those with superhuman speed, superhuman strength, even someone that is like an android. Part human, part machine. They may seem different from eachother but in the core, they are all alike. Murderous fiends."

Clark slid the articles back to Kimiyo. "How can you be so sure that they're all murderous fiends? Have you ever met someone with 'abilities?'" He asked, a bit outraged. He tried to keep his voice in a calm tone, trying not to look suspicious. "And they don't look like it to me...They look normal."

Kimiyo looked at the articles and saw the light reflecting off of the light. She manipulated the light from the article that went to Clark's eyes to make the people in the article change into the stereotype of a martian. "No, I don't believe that they look that normal. They are murderous alien bastards," said Kimiyo. "Watch any good alien movies? You should because they are real."
